The book (published April 2021) is an up-to-date and comprehensive view of the beginnings of electronic media in broadcasting and subsequent advancements into “now” digital media. Chapters are organized chronologically. Topics include the history of broadcasting, cable, satellite, Internet delivery, the rise of social media, uses of personal communication devices, the film industry, audience measurement, advertising, and virtual reality.
I am the faculty advisor for KLJX-LP, 107.1 FM, the student-run radio station at Northern Arizona University. In addition, I am the co-director of the Advanced Media Laboratory where students create virtual and augmented reality projects, drone video, and compete on the NAU Esports team.
