Gary R. Edgerton is professor of creative media and entertainment at Butler University. He has published twelve books and more than ninety essays on a variety of television, film and culture topics in a wide assortment of books, scholarly journals, and encyclopedias. Gary’s latest book is Mad Men (TV Milestones Series), which was published by Wayne State University Press in 2023. He is currently working on a sequel to The Columbia History of American Television entitled, Reboot: American Television in the 21st Century; for Syracuse University Press; and writing a critical-cultural examination of Terrence Malick’s Days of Heaven (1978) as part of the Reel West Series from the University of New Mexico Press.
