About me
William Hanff received his BA in Radio/Television from the George Washington University (GWU) in 1994, his MS in Broadcasting from Boston University (BU) in 1996, and his Ph.D. in Media Philosophy from the European Graduate School (EGS) in 2006. His dissertation title was “Documentary Simulations: An Epistemology of Hoax & Paradox”. William continues to research areas of suspension-of-disbelief, documentary film as well as the pedagogy of teaching digital media in the age of smartphones and transmedia. William is a DC native and filmmaker specializing in both political themes and avant garde film.
