About me

Gibbs has taught media production and journalism courses at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, California, since 2022. Prior to joining PLNU, he served as the general manager of an on-campus NPR station, oversaw ESPN+ streaming, build out podcast studios, and ushered in curriculum revisions during his tenure at Abilene Christian University in Abilene, Texas. Prior to his time in Texas, Gibbs worked for nine years at the public radio and television station KPBS in San Diego, California. His project management credits included mobile apps, branding and digital strategy, workflow standards for daily news audio and video content, and custom web apps for feature news stories.
