BEA2025

Hello! I am Chair for the Department of Communication. In addition, I am the Director for Intercultural and Engagement Initiatives in the College of Arts, Sciences and Engineering at the University of North Alabama. I also serve as the District 2 Representative for BEA. I love meeting new people and hearing their stories--we all have one. I teach in the areas of  Journalism and Digital Media Production and good, old-fashioned, well-produced radio and podcasting.I also produce a podcast, This Prof Life: Women of Color in Higher Education.

None work-related, my passions are: reading, public speaking, writing, travel, photography (I take a picture almost every, single day), and learning new things. My personal passion, and things I welcome you to talk to me about include my job, my work in DEI, my family, my faith, and, well, mostly anything. I really enjoy connecting with new colleagues and collaborating. I love dogs and a good cup of coffee. Please do reach out.
