Academic filmmakers often face a unique set of opportunities and challenges when it comes to distributing their work in non-academic venues. This panel explores some of the possibilities for identifying audiences, marketing, and distributing documentary films produced in academic settings, including through film festivals, public television, video on demand, social strategies, partnering with campus and external organizations, as well as some out-of-the-box ideas for getting your film seen.
